US iPhone and applecare+ in europe

Hello,

I'm european, and I will travel to US next month.

I have clear that iPhones from US has no international warranty.

Is possible to "add" a European AppleCare+ (once in Europe) to an iphone bought in the US?

I agree that the best option is to buy the iPhone in the country you want to use, but the price difference between US and europe for an iPhone 7 is > 200$ in some models.
